Hi Boothies- I'm excited to say that my 14 yr old daughter is taking a tour of Washington DC today with a school group and one of the stops is Ford's Theater! I know, I would have wanted to come on the trip as a chapterone but it would cost another $1000 dollars. I told her to send me pictures on her Iphone so if she does I will share them if I can. I am hoping if she goes, she will catch history fever and we'll get all bonded reading books on the assassination story and watching 'Conspirator' and all that fun stuff. They are touring there at about 1 pm. today. Anyway, just wanted to gush about that!

General Category / All Things Lincoln Assassination / My "The Conspirator" short stories

Hi guys- I don't post much on this site anymore, (but I read it quite a bit!) I have a profile page on the fiction site FF.Net, which FINALLY has a section on the movie "The Conspirator." So I put up 2 short stories, and Betty, I shared the Lewis one with you some time ago, so you might remember! I also wrote one on Davey, which I shared with Lindsey quite a while ago. Anyway, these stories take a little artistic license, and aren't completely accurate but it's more for the young audience of FF.Net, and they are supposed to be tied to the movie. Of course I took issue with the way Lew was portrayed at the hanging scene! Here is my profile page, so I wanted to share the stories with you. 2 of them are the Conspirator, the others, which got nice reviews-are "Beauty and the Beast" stories because I am also a Disney fanatic as well as a Boothie. http://www.fanfiction.net/u/2033756/civilwarrose

General Category / Steven G. Miller's "Just For the Record" / Re: the Wilkes Booth bobblehead controversy
|

Hey guys- I saw the article about this in my news homepage this morning- so the first thing I thought was I had to go to this forum and hear what funny things Randal and his friends have to say about it- wasn't disappointed! If I saw a set of Lincoln and Booth bobblehead dolls together on someone's shelf or desk, it could be considered disrespectful to Lincoln. But if there was a Booth bobblehead along with an Oswald one, a Charles Guiteau one, or even better, an Al Capone or Dillinger one, then it would be amusing and people would want to go get the whole set! I guess it depends on the context and where they are sold.

NEWS UPDATE:
Bail denied for Betty Ownsbey. As she was being led back to jail, she shouted at the bailiff, "hey, at least get me "Randal's" Lilly irons, these plastic cuffs are cutting into my LewieTheThug tattoo" Ms. Ownsbey demurred when put in the lilly irons, saying; "I have the key", I have the key!"
Oh, man! I haven't posted lately (nothing to add, other than that I won't buy the 'O'Really?' book) but you guys are awesome. Randall, I still want Lilly Irons. Betty, I think you should design a "Lewie the Thug" T-shirt. People can wear them to the conference.
