Sorry, I was away. Mary Pinchot Meyer... Powerful men, beautiful women, spies, drugs and sex. Mary Meyer had an affair with JFK, smoked pot with him in the White House and was murdered shortly after his assassination. She was married to one of the top CIA agents and her murder is still unsolved. She confided  in her brother in law that if anything ever happened to her, retrieve her diary. The day after her death, they went to her locked house to get it and encountered a CIA agent inside who was also looking for it.

I live in Milford, PA, where Jeannie Gourlay is buried. Jeannie is in the same cemetery as Mary Meyer. Interesting story.

How strange. I just requested from the Drake Museum copies of 41 interviews with people that knew Booth in the oil fields.

I served 1968 - 1972. My wife and I both had friends that never came home. If what they did is true, I would like to piss on their graves. Sorry for the language.

When I have a question about the assassination, I turn to Mike's book first.

Rich, I understand your frustration but I would counter that a large portion of the population know nothing more than the fact that Booth shot Lincoln in a theater. Your group was interested enough to attend a disscussion. Maybe you planted some seeds regarding what really happened.

For me it was AB. Despite all the detail Mike provided, it left me wanting more.

Ok, so my answer was probably closer than Randal's.

Ok, without another hint, I will venture a guess... They go to the same barber?

Thank you Mr. Watson. I live in NE Pennsylvania and just got power today at 2:00 pm. An inconvenience only. Nothing like the people in NY & NJ.

We just had a new book on Seward; how bout one on Stanton? Or has that already been done?

Baker questioned Lucinda Holloway and she fessed up that she had her brother take the glasses to her mother's house a few miles away. They were sent for and given to Baker.

Practicing jumping from the box is a very good point. Since he had now blocked his point of entrance, his only alternative was to jump. I would have tried it first rather than risk lying in a heap on stage while irate theater goers kicked me in the head and spat tobacco juice on me.
