Another "What If" in the Assassination saga

I am re-reading "American Brutus" and came upon the point that just after his capture, Atzerodt was questioned for almost 12 hours by Gen. Tyler's staff until Tyler received an urgent message from Stanton stating that under no circumstances should the prisoner be interrogated and should be sent to DC immediately. The testimony, which was recorded by a news reporter has never surfaced. Have any attempts been made to find this testimony?
