I just got through reading "A sister's Memoir" and I have to say that I was shocked at how JWB and Asia seemed to view the black population as their pets.I grew up here in the south and the racial slurs in her writings was unbelievable.I know all of that was normal back then but I found it so nasty.Asia, certainly idolized Wilkes and in the end I felt sorry for her because she had to accept that he wasn't perfect.
