Whomever the clerk was who copied Dr. Leale's statement sure had beautiful handwriting. I'd give anything to be able to write like that!

There were some interesting observations by the doctor who was seated in the dress circle...
The party was proceeded by an attendant who after opening the door of the box and closing it after they had all entered had a seat near by for himself.
While descending his feet got entangled in the American flag...
Supposing that he had been stabbed there I asked a gentleman to cut his coat and shirt off...
Leale gives the time of death as 7:20 AM.
He also says that present at the Petersen house were a Dr. Ford and a Dr. Stowe
