Sculptures & Monuments

Yesterday on Independence Day, we were in the big NYC and gazed at the William Seward Sculpture at the entrance to Madison Square Park on 23rd near 5th Avenue. It looks like this piece was cleaned up and polished. The inscription below the sculpture mentions some of his positions of responsibility but not his status/accomplishment as a survivor of the assassin's knife.
Also looked at the monument of the immortal Edwin Booth in the center of Gramercy Park. it looks like it needs a cleaning and polishing. Unfortunately, one can not see it close up since this park is private property. But looking north from the south end of the park, you see his impressive monument in the foreground and the Chrysler building in the background. Sorry, I didn't take a picture.
As mentioned in other posts, the Players Club building nearby looks like it needs work.
